For Kassem Amoudi, painting is a continuous discovery.
The Jordanian-born artist treats paintings as beings that have their own lives, feelings and needs. He listens and responds, allowing them to be what they want to be.
Kassem earned his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where he taught painting since 2000. He also leads painting courses at the Woodmere Art Museum, Main Line Art Center, Wayne Art Center and Perkins Center for the Arts.
Kassem moved to Camden in 2003 and lives just two blocks from Cooper University Hospital.
